scholar soulmate: the talking stage

I followed her on insta first, I also said hi at the cafe first, but she messaged me after that first. I think that's a pretty good collaborative work hehe. Well, to be frank, I've been meaning to send her a dm on insta right after our unexpected offline meeting that day. However, I was too afraid of how to compose the first message, even with two of my friends beside me giving suggestions of what to say. Then in the middle of all that, she messaged me first, a one paragaph long dm. I was surprised, a happy surprise.

It took me a while to reply. I ended up sent three short chat bubbles. Hopefully that was respectful enough. The next day I asked her what's her schedule for the night. The plan was if she said she's free than I might invite her for a dinner or something. But it turned out she said she was busy, a packed schedule, her weekend was dedicated for exercises. Clearly she was either 1) did not want to meet me or 2) she didn't read my intention at all (when we're finally officially together and go back to this memory she said she had no idea, didn't expect my actual plan was actually wanting to ask her out that day).

I messaged her again one week after that. Basically responding to her insta updates. It was not a short chat but also not that long either. It was probably somewhere in between, I was excited to chat but I was also still too afraid of doing it, it was as if there was something holding me back. That was weird.

Then I messaged her again after two weeks. We had a longer conversation. She ended up asking for my number. I know, it should have been me asking and not the other way around, I'm sorry. It's my bad. From that moment on, we had a quite intense chats over insta and whatsapp without missing any days.

The real magic happened on whatsapp. From chats to stickers to audio calls. It all felt right. It's like we were meant to be together based on how easily the talks went from one topic to another. We were flirting throughout the whole process. And I kid you not, her flirting game is better than me. I was like surprised, and blushed, and turned upside down the whole time. She's super flirty and smart. I know, as a man, it should have been my job, and the fact that I was bad doing my job is humiliating. I should have been the one throwing out pick-up lines. But no no she's the one doing almost everything all the time.

Then I decided to meet her offline around two weeks after all that. I went with my usual overnight boat trip on friday, arrived in nate saturday then go back with another boat sunday then arrived in moro monday. That was one of the craziest short trip I have ever made so far. That was insane and funny.
