The Subtle Art of Not Giving A F*ck

Well, what do you want me to say? It is or it was a very well known piece of writing. Whatever, I won’t give an F, you know. To tell you guys a little bit of the background story on how I met this book, it was actually almost a year ago. In the beginning of September, last year, I had something to do in Jakarta for couple of days. On the very last day, we finally had time to, you guess what, went to the Mall. Sure, girls went for cosmetics equipment or something like that, but I was going straight to the bookstore. Technically speaking, it was more like I was accidentally came into that store filled with books, very much unintentionally occurred, okay.

Can I talk about the book now, shall we? First thing first, it is a light book. Your hands will never feel like you are holding on something as heavy as classic books for example. Because, just because it is super light. The writing is even lighter. Nope, you can never, like, ever, find any super fancy-super scientifically explained phrases or whatsoever. It is more like, talk to a friend. A very good friend you want to sit around with and just talk and talk as long as you want.

This very book thought me how to stop giving an F towards so many things in the world in the same time. We just need to be chill sometimes. We do not need those worrisome thoughts all over inside our precious head. We can be a regular and that is okay. So many people out there wanted to be better and then the best and then what? You name it.

It is okay to be perfectly clueless, stumble on several failures, being wrong most of the time. We just need to break free, out of every world’s expectations, telling us to be the very best version of yourself, or any other related standard on how to live our own only one life. We don’t, I repeat, we don’t need to be keeping up with those highly worldly so called the definition of perfect life.

We can build our own rules. Nobody forbid us to redefine the meaning of happiness. This book will help us freeing ourselves, moreover, our thoughts, to be not associated with such negativity we are all currently trapped into. Jealousy over ones thoroughly planned out social media feeds. Will tell you why, because, there is no such things as perfect human with perfect life. Even if, yeah there are tons of tons of those social media celebrities with millions of followers post nothing but perfect glimpse of their life. Or, lets say, the closest samples, your friends; perfect job and perfect social life and perfect dating or marriage, I can mentions any other endless list of perfect stuff all the day long. You forgot something, people tend to share happy moments. Because nobody will buys sad stories and discouraging vibes. That’s what we need to remember. So, stop wasting your energy on small things, instead live your life your way, you do you. Yes, you.
