very tales: princess of the sea

Once upon a time, the water in every corner of the planet earth tasted the same, even the sea water was not salty, with that being said, every water on earth was drinkable. The river and the lake and the water under ground and the sea were all under jurisdiction of the kingdom of the sea, ruled by one strong king that will be followed by the princess, next in line.

The future of the water kingdom would be in the hands of the princess of the sea, once the princess got married and fulfill her destiny to be the next ruler. The princess was respected dearly by all the citizen of the water kingdom, everybody was looking up to her, watched her every actions and words.

But, someone far away in the middle of the land, hated the fact that the water kingdom was greater and more powerful than his kingdom. The planet earth was mostly covered by the water of the sea, then some already small land areas, there were couple of waters located such as the rivers and the lakes and the underground water while of course that they were all under the rule of the water kingdom even if they were in land. The land king had a prince that was well prepared to replaced his place in the future, he poisoned the prince to married off the princess of the sea, so that land kingdom could be more powerful. The prince followed everything his father, the land king said, he had never ever disobeyed his father at all cost.

One fine day, in the bilateral meeting of the two kingdoms, the land king sat side by side with the water king, had a coffee break after the previous long serious series of discussions. “What do you think of how we may strengthen our two countries’ relations to the scale the history never recorded” said the land king with his iconic wide and sweet teeth smile.

“I’m not really following where you were are talking about now” the water king responded.

Then, the land king explained about his big plan of got his prince married off the water king's daughter, the water princess. The water king seemed surprise by the suggestions, but replied diplomatically said that even though this sort of actions never had been done before, it didn’t mean that it couldn’t occur if everything was already been talked about.

Knew that he had finally got the green light from the water king, the land prince started to began his move to approach the princess of the sea. Unexpectedly, everything went smoothly, the princess fell for the prince’s sweet sweet words. One year went by and the two of them prepared the wedding. For the first time ever in history, the two kingdoms would be finally united under the unseparated bond of the two representative of the two kingdom, everything would be different in the near future after the prince and princess’ royal wedding. There would be no more two separate kingdoms.

Throughout the ten years of marriage, the royal wedding inspired so many other interspecies marriages that leaded to the new creatures that could live in the two worlds, land and water. The waters that used to be needed to be paid before drinking has now became free of charge. The stones from the land were awarded to the sea and became coral reef. But, nobody knew the real sad stories behind the happy marriage of the royal wedding that made the two kingdoms became one. The land prince that already now was a land king and the water princess that also already a water queen, were not having children yet because the king never touched the queen at all.

“My king, will you busy again today? And tomorrow and the day after tomorrow? It has been ten years, don’t have child yet” said the water queen in the middle of the night before sleep.

“Oh, my dear queen. You know the kingdom’s business. We are now the greatest kingdom in the world, there are many things I need to take care of for the sake of our kingdom” replied the land king, the same sweet sweet talks every day in years.

The water queen actually had super powers, she could feel and sense everything when she wanted to. But, she made a promise with herself that she would never read his husband to found out whatever he did out there because love required love so that she turned off her brain and only let on her heart whenever she was with her husband because she believed him.

But, the long wait had already enough for her. The next morning, after she sended off her husband, she locked herself in the room. She turned off her heart and then switched on her brain. The water queen followed every move of his husband for one full week.  Now she saw everything that her husband saw. At first, the husband really did the work of the kingdom required him to did as the king. But when the sun fell down, he entered rooms after rooms with different women, not only one or ten, there were too many to be counted. The water queen could not held it anymore, but she needed to keep listened to every conversations to found out.

“Your highness, why would you never touch the water queen?” said one of the girl that currently spending the night with him

“Eeww, I would never touch that water species, our marriage was only for kingdom business purposes, you know. Huahaha” the land king answered with big loud laughter in the end.

“I felt bad for the water queen. She was so in love with you. And that was exactly what made her super stupid queen” other girl reacted while handed the land king the water.

The water queen stopped her power to saw everything. She wanted to cry but she was too furious to even started to cry. She left the land and headed straight to her home, the sea.

The water queen then met her father and told him everything that happened, the father as the previous water king could not do anything because has was no longer holding the throne. So, it was all up to the the daughter, the water queen. She then decided to announce the divorce with the land king as well as make the new law, separation of the two kingdoms. But she was never instructed the already marriage couples to follow her way, because deep down she knew that love was never wrong, it was her fault that only listened to her heart. Most of the water kingdom citizen in the lakes and rivers went back to the sea, some stayed because their own choices.

The land king went to the beach to talk to the water queen, to said that he was sorry, that he was wrong. The water queen appeared from the sea, the two of them met in the beach. She let him did the sweet talks he had always did to her, but this time, she had not affected by any of his words, because she already knew everything that actually happened. She was so furious, she could made tsunami in order to destroyed all the land kingdom but she decided not to. The people of the two kingdoms were never ever wrong, it was her fault all along.   

She only forgave him but never forgot the pain. She then cried everyday for one year long until water in the sea got salty, after that she opened her heart for another man and moved on, became the water queen she was meant to be, the greatest ruler, the most powerful and wise of all previous kings and and queens in the past. The tales went on and on.
